These waters include Aziscohos, Rangeley, Mooselookmeguntic, Cupsuptic, and Upper and Lower Richardson Lakes. Landlock Salmon and Brook Trout are native to the Rangeley Lakes Region. |
This region has provided rich tradition and excellent fishing for sportsman since the early settlers moved into the area. The nationally famous Rapid and Kennebago rivers are favorite spots for Salmon and Brook Trout fishing. Other rivers include the Magalloway River and the Cupsuptic River. Bear Hunts ![]() |
Black Brook Cove bear hunting over bait. The bait sites are lease and ensure hunter privacy. Bait hunting begins the last week of August and runs through the third week of September. |
Moose hunting is offered in WMD 7, 8, 12 & 13. We have averaged 100% opportunity for seven years. Using the region's numerous roads gives us access to clear cuts, bogs, and swamps. |

Deer Hunts ![]() |
Deer hunting in the North Country is very challenging. Thousands of acres of hardwood ridges, thick stands of softwood, and maturing clear cuts make this a demanding hunt. For the sportsman seeking to hunt white tails in the wild country, western Maine is the place to be. |
Grouse season includes the months of October through December. On average we are able to get 12 to 16 flushes per day. Woodcock season is also during October and flushes will depend on the weather and migration. |
